Annnd it’s Monday! I don’t know about you guys, but losing one hour yesterday really threw me off. I was shocked that I woke up so late, and realized that it was because of daylight savings. Pleasant surprise! I spent the rest of my Sunday playing catch up with groceries, cleaning the house…all fun stuff. It’s been a brutally cold week in Chicago, and the weather was bringing me down. I’m so so over the cold…I’m hoping that we’re nearing the end! To keep my spirits up, I decided to bring some color out this weekend with this bright orange-red coat. It wasn’t until after I ran out of the house in this ensemble that I realized the majority of pieces were hand me downs.

The coat was my aunt’s from the late 90’s/early 00’s. I remember around that time Sisley had killer stuff, and she shopped there ALL of the time. This was one of many great pieces she got from there, and it was one of the items I snagged from my mom’s closet a few weeks back…that and the vintage Gucci bag. Coincidentally, the bag and this coat were a match made in heaven. The other hand me down? The shades. They’re vintage Carrera from the 80s, and funny enough, they’re my DAD’s! Dad was rocking stunna shades back then. I’m happy he takes care of his stuff, as I’m currently reaping the benefits. I dressed down the outfit with cropped jeans & a graphic tee (one I’ve had since college!). A pop of red lipstick and I was ready to take on the cold! Shop the look below:
