I SO underestimated the potential for hot weather this past week. Twice I busted out a thick sweater and ended up regretting it shortly thereafter as I sweat profusely in private (at least I hope it was private). You just never know what you’re going to get with Chicago fall – it can range from 40-80 degrees. Good luck trying to figure it out.

Instead of trying to predict the future, as that’s clearly not panning out for me, I’ve resorted to transitional pieces that are appropriate in both [semi] hot & cold weather conditions. This sleeveless knit tunic I picked up last year was the perfect piece for this weekend, which included hot summer days and fall nights. I’ve been digging the monochromatic look as of late, so I rocked it with grey cropped trousers and nude loafers from COS. I didn’t sweat my butt off, so I consider my outfit choice a #win.
