I went through a phase growing up where I was extremely conscious about my body, and as a result refused to wear form fitting pants unless they were accompanied by an oversized Gap sweatshirt (I owned one of these in every color). I wasn’t comfortable in my own skin, and I didn’t know what to do about it. My mom was trying everything she could to help me break out of my shell, and one day she convinced me to buy a pair of fitted 70’s floral print capri pants. They were SO out there and unlike anything I ever owned; I felt like a new person in them. Looking back, that was a pivotal moment in my teenage years as it helped me realize the only way to grow is to push yourself outside of your comfort zone. Even something as minuscule as purchasing a piece of adventurous clothing can lead to something much greater, like a boost in self-confidence & willingness to take risks.
When I came across these printed pants at H&M, I was immediately reminded of that pair of pants my mom made me buy years ago. These pants are snug in all of the right places – I especially like that they’re loose in the thigh. They’re incredibly flattering!
