I just booked a long weekend trip to San Francisco in early May. I don’t know what it is about that city, but it holds a special place in my heart. Its picturesque scenery, unique neighborhoods (each with their own character), and outdoorsy yet still urban vibe is just magnetic. I am really looking forward to this trip.
What I was even more pumped about was my $230 round trip flight (see my tips for booking cheap flights here). The excitement about my killer flight deal was immediately shattered when I began my hotel search. Two main issues here: 1. San Francisco hotels are INSANELY pricey and 2. there are a handful of hotels in areas where you actually want to stay – for me this means as far away from the tourists as humanely possible.
I ended up finding a decent deal on Booking.com, but still wasn’t confident that it was the best price I could have gotten. Here’s where DreamCheaper comes into play. Forward your reservation confirmation to hotel@dreamcheaper.com, and DreamCheaper will search for better pricing on your booking until the day of your reservation. If they find a better price, they will rebook for you and cancel your previous reservation. There are no risks involved (they don’t cancel until they’ve rebooked), you get the best price on the room, and it requires virtually no effort (literally the click of a forward button!).
How much does this magical service cost? They take 20% of your savings. If they save you nothing, they get nothing. Not too shabby, eh?
