This weekend had a great start – no better way to kick things off than 75 degree weather and sunshine. Pepper in some awesome food and cocktails and you are set. I’m loving San Diego so far for all of these reasons, and also because I’m able to wear my favorite summer pieces that have been stashed away in my closet for 8 months. I bought this skirt last summer from ASOS, and I still adore it. It’s so comfortable and stylish, you can’t go wrong. It’s also midi length & high waist, which I find extremely flattering.
I paired it with my new go-to bag from She & Lo (I did a post on this brand a couple weeks back – loving their stuff), and a pair of lace up booties with a 2-3 inch heel. I’ve been such a diva about heel height as of late. I’ve realized that when I buy heels that are too high, I just don’t wear them because they’re not practical. Especially when you live in the city and are traveling via public trans…just doesn’t make sense. These heels are the perfect height – they dress up your outfit and are super comfortable.
It can get a bit chilly here at night, so I always bring along a jacket just in case. This jean jacket I’m wearing is from high school, back when we all shopped at Abercrombie and Fitch. No kidding, it’s the only thing I currently own from Abercrombie, and is one of my staple summer pieces. It’s a classic. Goes to show there are some items that just never go out of style.
