We had a little glimpse of fall before the heatwave came – I’m not complaining about the extended summer, but I am ready to get my fall clothes on (because fall fashion is the BEST!). On one of the cooler days a couple of weeks ago, I put together this burgundy look that I can’t get enough of. First of all, corduroy pants remind me of my childhood and I can’t wait to wear them again. I had like 3 pairs in high school that I wore on a regular basis…with Birkenstock Boston Clogs of course (which apparently are also back!). I’ve officially lived a cycle of fashion, and even have my Birks from 10+ years ago. I’m old, but at least I’m saving some money. Ha.
In effort to elevate this outfit, I wanted to think outside of the box in terms of how to style a button down blouse. A new way to wear a button down (for future reference) – layer a blouse over a thin turtleneck, the ultimate layering piece for fall. With a pop of dark lipstick and chic white ankle boots, I was ready to take on the day.
Both the blouse and pants are from ModCloth – their fall stuff is SO on point right now. I love that their sizes are made for every shape & body type…and their stuff fits so well! It’s tricky for me to find pants that fit properly, and these fit like a glove. Shop this look & other ModCloth stuff I’m loving right now below!
Thank you ModCloth, for sponsoring this post! As always, all opinions are my own!
