Now that it’s officially the holiday season, we have to get ready to PARTY! Everyone has at least ONE holiday party to get geared up for in December (I’m pretty sure I have 4 on my calendar so far – yeesh!), and sometimes it’s hard to figure out WTF to wear when you’re in a pinch.

In this week’s YouTube video (subscribe to my channel here if you haven’t already!), I styled four holiday outfits from what I already had in my closet. From a more casual party to a super dressy one, I’ve got you covered! Get the low down on each look below (& be sure to watch the video to see them live in action!).

holiday outfit #1: pleated midi skirt + cropped military jacket

Pleated Skirt: Mango, similar here Military Jacket: Vintage, similar here Slouchy Boots: SUPER old, similar here Hair pinSincerely Jules x Scunci | Bag: Saint Laurent

I ADORE this pleated midi skirt and it just exudes holiday to me (must be the metallic jewel tone). I’ve worn it a bunch, but here I styled it with a vintage cropped military jacket and slouchy boots. I’m really into the slouchy boots lately (I’ve had these for 10 years and am pumped I kept them!) – super 80’s feel and they look so chic paired with a longer skirt or dress over. Since I wanted the focus to be on the detailing of the jacket and the skirt, I kept my accessories fairly simple and added a sparkly hair clip.

holiday outfit #2: metallic sweater + leather pencil skirt

Metallic Balloon Sleeve Sweater: Free People Leather Pencil Skirt: Vintage, similar here | Slouchy Boots: SUPER old, similar here Earrings: Mignonne Gavigan (sold out in gold but pink ones here) | Bag: Saint Laurent

When it comes to holiday outfits, metallic pieces are CLUTCH. They’re festive, super stylish and can elevate an otherwise simple look. Here, I’ve got on a metallic, balloon sleeved sweater and I tucked it into a leather pencil skirt. Everyone should have a good leather skirt in their closet – it’s a classic, closet staple that you can wear out to ANY evening event. Again, I’ve got on the slouchy boots here (love that the boot just barely meets the end of the skirt – I’d probably wear tights with this but if you live somewhere warmer you don’t have to). To make my look a little EXTRA – it is the holidays after all! – I added my favorite hoop earrings.

holiday outfit #3: stirrups + balloon sleeve sweater

Metallic Balloon Sleeve Sweater: ASOS, similar here Stirrups: Vintage, similar here | Block heel pumps: purchased last year from Yoox, similar here Belt: Vintage Donna Karan | Bag: Italy purchase, similar here

I clearly have a thing for metallic knits – what can I say?! Another item I have a thing for? STIRRUPS! I have two pairs, one is the pair I’m wearing here (which just so happen to be my mom’s from the 80s!). Stirrups are one of my go-to going out pieces because they’re so easy to wear & they’re comfortable (I’m basically going out in glorified leggings). I really like the look of stirrups over a block heel, as I wore here, and with a thick waist belt. I kept the rest of my accessories fairly minimal as I had a massive gold buckle belt on with a metallic knit. I felt I was extra enough 🙂

holiday outfit #4: wide leg trousers + ivory blazer

White Blazer: Vintage, similar here Wide Leg Pants: Vintage, similar here | Earrings: Vintage, similar here | Bag: Italy purchase, similar here

I’m a shorty (5’5″), and unfortunately, long legs were not something I was blessed with. That’s why, when I wear wide leg high waist pants, I feel like a million bucks. They’re elongating and slimming – a killer combination. I paired these vintage wide leg pants with a beautiful ivory colored blazer. Winter white is something I’ll be rocking a lot this season. It’s crisp, a tad edgy and just brightens the mood (it’s nice to switch things up after wearing dark colors daily). This look is perfect for a more formal event!
