Man. Coming back from Cali is TOUGH. We went from eating tacos in 70 degree weather to overcast & flurries. The struggle is real…BUT, the trip was awesome. If you were following along on Insta, you know we had a jam packed weekend! From music festivals to farmer’s markets (had to get my fav, Bitchin Sauce), to spending quality time with friends & family…it was a much needed getaway. Also, speaking of music festivals, Bonobo was the highlight of the night. Have you guys heard of him? Check him out here, good stuff! The festival was a spontaneous decision, and I was NOT prepared clothing or shoes wise. I opted to wear flip flops (which you normally wouldn’t catch me in unless I’m beaching) and I may or may not have lost a toe due to the cold. Exaggerating? Maybe…but it was uncomfortable #drama. All good though, it was an experience.
Festival or no festival, I struggle packing for San Diego because it gets chilly once the sun goes down! Chilly on Cali terms, of course. That said, I always bring an extra layer or two. My go-to layer of ALL time? A solid denim jacket. This one is a kimono style jacket I found at Aritzia a couple years ago. I also have my standard vintage Levi’s trucker jacket that is a closet staple. Ultimately, a killer denim jacket is a spring style classic that we all could use in our closets, don’t ya think? And there are so many variations to choose from nowadays! Start brainstorming spring style ideas by shopping my favorites below –
