I find myself reaching for more comfortable clothing in the winter. Maybe it’s because I’m mentally drained with the cold, and being creative with outfits takes energy. That’s why I’ve been trying to fill my closet with simple pieces with personality. You don’t have to dress in bold colors, patterns or excessive layers to look chic. Sometimes, it’s all in the cuts and fabrics.

These cream wool Escada pants were one of my favorite vintage finds last year. I got the elastic band replaced, and boom, brand new. I’ve been wearing them a lot lately – paired with an oversized sweater, or with a checked blazer. The best thing about them outside of feeling like I’m wearing PJs? They work all year round – I wore them to NYFW in the late summer!

I’ve found a few similar pants from around the web, at all price points.
