It’s ALMOST spring, guys. I know, it sure as hell doesn’t feel like here, but I’m feeling like there is a light at the end of this very dark, cold tunnel (with freezing wind, I might add).

In effort to get my spirits up, I did a closet clean out (listed a bunch of items on my Poshmark, by the way!) that coincided with a massive thrift haul. Every single day last weekend, I hit my local thrift stores and favorite consignment shops. I shared ALL the pieces I came home with in my latest YouTube video, but wanted to share five of my favorite looks from the haul here! I’ve also linked to similar items so that you can shop each look.

Stay warm, friends. We’re so close to spring!

look #1: my take on Americana.

That feeling you get when you find a piece you never know you needed until you crossed paths with said item – ever get that? That’s exactly how I felt when I stumbled on this vintage Gap YELLOW leather jacket at Salvation Army. Do I need a yellow denim styled leather jacket? ABSOLUTELY F*CKING YES. Later that day, I came across these boot cut, high waist, Tommy Hilfiger jeans. The stars aligned for this look – all I did was layer a white turtleneck underneath, and popped my Acne Studios western booties to complete the Americana vibe.

look #2: pastel monochrome.

Pastels are HUGE this spring, so naturally I gravitated towards this linen skirt in a bright pastel greenish blue. The detailing is what got me – the buttons at the bottom (in the front, which I’ve never seen before), and the cool colorful belt that came along with it. At first glance, it veers towards frumpy, but I have grand plans to make this thing look chic AF. I paired it with a similarly colored sweater and my go-to platform brown boots.

look #3: lime-alicious.

You know me and my lime green, I legit can’t get enough. That’s why, when I saw this shimmery lime green blazer at good ol’ Village Discount my heart stopped (okay- totes dramatic but like, you get it). This blazer is Dana Buchman (I just LOLed because literally this is a Kohl’s brand) BUT how freaking cute is it?!! It’s 100% silk, and has this beautiful subtle shimmer to it that caught my eye. It’s slightly big which is kind of exactly what I wanted. I paired it with these black cropped pants by Akris (also a vintage find from last weekend) AND…wait for it…these vintage DIOR slingback pumps that I snagged for $30.

look #4: socks & loafers.

I’ve been itching to wear these loafers I picked up in Italy with some thick crew socks (Michael Jackson style), and this look enabled me to do achieve my DREAM. I’m wearing the same Akris pants here as my previous look, but instead paired them with this amazing vintage pleated sleeveless cardigan. This thing is so simple yet SO cool, because it can be worn a million different ways. I’m envisioning it as a top (belted), worn with a tank underneath, a layering piece as worn here…and of course, a throw on for those chillier summer nights. Best $4 I ever spent.

look #5: the best cream blazer. ever.

Isn’t this the BEST CREAM BLAZER YOU’VE EVER SEEN?! I am counting down the days until I get it back from the cleaners. It’s an off-white oversize wool blazer by Giorgio Sant’angelo, an Italian/Argentinian designer who’s no longer around. I scored this piece for $4 (or maybe it was $6) – either way, we’re talking pennies here. I paired it with this vintage pair of Oscar De La Renta satin pants (they used to be longer and I had them cropped), and my brown platform boots. Underneath the blazer, I put on an oversize button down blouse – I really like how the pleating of the shirt peeks through in the middle!
