stronger wiser everyday

I found out about Nelissa Carillo’s brand, Stronger Wiser Everyday, through a friend, and I am enamored with her entire collection. Made to order (in Chicago!) each piece is genderless, seasonless and eco-friendly. The aesthetic of the brand is just too damn cool & effortless…they even made a BATHROOM look good. Talent & creativity at its finest. PS – I’m especially in love with this patchwork denim jacket. SO UP MY ALLEY.

Lilian Syrigou Jewelry

I stumbled upon Lilian Syrigou’s Etsy shop by chance, and fell in love with her pieces. It reminded me of the jewelry shops in Greece…but even BETTER! Geometric jewelry is having a major moment, and her creations are so simple & dainty. I especially love the 2D earrings and the colorful collars (how COOL ARE THESE?!).

urban decay hi fi shine

Urban Decay was nice enough to send me all of the colors in their latest release – the Hi-Fi shine lip gloss. GUYS…I’m OBSESSED. I feel like I’m a teenager again with a makeup bag full of lip gloss. I forgot how fun it is to play around with different glosses (& they’re made with vanilla & peppermint oil, so they taste delish!). What I especially dig about this launch is the metallic & holographic colors. You know I love a metallic lip! My favorites so far include the goldmine (duh), shadowheart (bringing back the 90s) and the jawbreaker (because purple is the color of the season!).

four sigmatic hot cocoa

This was one of the few things I discovered in San Diego earlier this month. It’s my new favorite way to deal with my sugar craving! All their beverage packs are loaded with “functional mushrooms” – a good-for-you super food. Depending on the time of day, you’d either enjoy the pick-me-up mix or chill with reishi (which is the one I love to have after dinner). Did I mention they’re only 25 calories?! PRO TIP – drink it with your favorite nut milk instead of water. It makes a HUGE difference.

5MUSIC TO FEED YOUR WINTER DEPRESSION

Leo has always been a music fanatic, and he’s been putting together mix tapes for years now. Every year, he puts together a “Winter Depression” mix. I know I’m biased, but I think he has a great ear for picking out amazing up & coming artists & tracks. I’ve still got the winter feels – because, well, it still feels like winter in Chicago – so I’ve been listening to this on repeat lately.

I can’t handle handle how adorable (and so on point!) these illustrations are. Korean artist, Myeong-Minho, captures the most intimate moments of a relationship in her drawings. Seriously, just the cutest.

mastiqua water

SO…truth be told…mastiha is polarizing and not for everyone…but if you love it, you will go crazy for this flavored water. Mastiha comes from the mastic tree (also known as the “gum tree”), which grows in the Mediterranean region. Greeks use it as an ingredient in desserts, and also comes in liqueur form. It helps with digestion, acid reflux, & is an anti-inflammatory. When I saw they had a flavored water I knew I had to try it! You can check out the site here (it’s also available on Amazon).

8THE OUTLIER

acrylic earrings

My obsession with resin earrings continues. THE 80s are back…and better! I’ve been crushing on the jewelry from this Australian jewelry shop HARD. I need these in my life – especially these and these.

I know I’m late on this train, but like, this collab is INSANE. WHY/HOW did I miss this when it launched? I’ll be dreaming about these Force 1’s now, thanks. PS – you may be able to find these resale, if you’re as obsessed as I am (they’ll just come with a hefty price tag…SAD).

Okay, before you judge me, I am not a gamer…normally. Leo’s got a thing for video games, and he just so happened to purchase Inside to get me into it too…and it WORKED. This premise of this game is so F’d up – it’s this kid trying to escape a very dark science experiment. I liked it because there is a lot of problem solving involved, and it’s only 4 hours of playing time long! It’s really well done from the graphics to the plot line (the ending is SUPER WEIRD but too good).
