The pressure is on – I am literally STRESSED about all the upcoming sales this weekend. How do I jump on all the things I want without them selling out?! AHHH, there’s NOT ENOUGH TIME to cover all the sites I want to stalk in the coming days. What. to. do.
In past years, I ordered heaps of stuff on Black Friday/Cyber weekend, and ended up returning 90% of it and/or buying things I didn’t REALLY need (not that I NEED anything, but ya know what I mean). I’m taking a different approach this weekend, to help both my bank account and my anxiety levels. I’m honing in my search for only specific items that I want to add to my closet – items that I’ve been wanting all season and just haven’t pulled the trigger on.
These five special pieces are key trends this season that I’ve been admiring from afar. Let’s hope I nail a killer deal this weekend & scoop them all up just in time to rock them to all the events I have coming up in the next 6 weeks!
These I’ve wanted for years now, but I was hesitant to pull the trigger as I was afraid it was a fad trend that wouldn’t last. In reality, a solid pair of snakeskin boots is timeless and can be worn year after year, with virtually ANYTHING (& through any season).

Normally, I’d say this piece is out of my style realm, with it being on the preppy side and all. However, as Ms. Alexa Chung has exemplified with this look, it’s possible to wear a cord mini in an edgy, trendy fashion. I dig the idea of pairing a cord skirt with thick tights and sneakers, with a puffer jacket.
I adore how retro yet current a croc bag is. I need to get my hands on one! I’ve picked up a couple of croc belts vintage shopping, but have yet to find the perfect croc bag. I particularly love the ones that have a funky, geometric shape.

Patterned sweaters are reminiscent of my childhood – I rocked bold prints & patterns like it was my job. I’ve been itching to bring this back into my wardrobe, and now that it’s in “on trend”, there are plenty of patterned sweaters to be had.

Now, I DO have a pair of white ankle boots, but I’m looking for an upgrade. Mine were a steal from Zara last season ($40!), and I wore the hell out of them last winter that they’re nearing the end. Sad. This season, I’m looking for a better quality boot that comes up above the ankle and has a chunkier heel. The hunt is on!
