It’s too easy to fall into the habit of pulling for the same old jeans, sweater & boot combo in dire situations – aka winter in Chicago. My number one priority is to prevent my face from falling off, sooo the last thing I want to do is get creative with my outfits this time of year. To keep my creative juices flowing – and, frankly, to bring a little fun & excitement to my December AMs – I pulled together a week of my winter outfit ideas last week. You get some inspiration, I keep trying to come up with new sh*t, it’s a win win situation! Here’s what I got going for last week – drop me a comment with your favorite look & let me know if you want me to keep this going!

PS – I’m showcasing 3 of the 5 outfits featured in my video here, watch the full vid to get the rest…and pleaseeeee, subscribe to my channel! I need all the support I can get. Seriously though, it’s a sad situation currently & would love for you to follow along my nonsense there ;). Having a ton of fun with video & want to keep this going if you guys equally enjoy it.

Leopard Print Jacket: Vintage, similar here, affordable version here Black Distressed Jeans: ASOS Black Turtleneck: ASOS | Combat Boots: Zara, similar here

When you’re feeling blah, bring some animal print into your LIFE!!! I’ve tested it, it works. Nothing like a solid leopard print and a red lip to get you going for the day. This jacket was a vintage find earlier this year (it’s reversible) – totes something a grandma could be wearing with sweats and dad sneaks (OMG – I think I’m morphing into a g-ma officially). I layered the jacket over a turtleneck bodysuit (more on how to layer turtlenecks in my next post), and paired it with a pair of distressed black jeans & combat boots. I have these jeans in a light blue as well and LOVE LOVE them. Stretchy, but just the right amount, and they make the tush look nice and perky (we all need summa that, right?!). All in all, a casual, comfy, yet presentable look for a day you just don’t want to dress up.

Geometric Cropped Sweater: Vintage, similar here Boyfriend Jeans: Everlane | Platform Boots: Dorateymur | Patent Leather Belt: Vintage, similar here | Gold Chain Necklace – vintage, similar here

Ahhh yes – a perfect balance of retro & newness. This sweater’s a vintage purchase from years back. It’s a cream/taupe combo in the softest cashmere and it feels like butter against the skin. I wanted to play on the brown/cream tones so paired it with a patent leather taupe belt and my brown boots. PS – these mom jeans were one of my only purchases from Everlane and WOW where have I been. Potentially the best fitting mom jeans I’ve ever tried – they are loose and snug in all the right places.

Oversize Multi Color Cardigan: From Greece (years ago!), similar here | Maroon Trousers: Vintage, similar here | Platform Boots: Dorateymur | Brown Croc Belt: Vintage, similar here

Okay, maybe sometimes, I wanna get fancy (“You fancy, huh?” just reverberated in my brain – thanks Drake). A-hem, introducing my business casual look of the week! Maroon trousers paired with an oversize belted sweater. The key here is you can still look chic even with a work-friendly outfit. The pants have an edgy feel to them with a cool patch on the inner calf, and are cropped at just the right length to be on-trend. The belted sweater gives another stylish element to the look vs. just wearing it open with a tee underneath.

Watch the full video to get the low down on the other two looks this week. One of them involves the best pair of earrings I own. You don’t want to miss it!
